Pray for Priests and Seminarians

To God be the glory.

We did not do our usual post in honour of St. Joseph on Wednesday, as we were engaged in praying for priests and seminarians- several in dire straits. As you know, this is a large part of our ministry, to intercede for priests and seminarians around the world.

Part of our prayer was the Rosary of Peace, by Fr. Slavko Barbaric of Medjugorje. The closing prayer he wrote is so appropriate for today's world situation:

"O Lord, heavenly Father, give us Your peace. We ask this of You together with all Your children in whom You have planted the desire for peace and appeasement. We ask this together with all those who, in unspeakable sufferings, are sighing for peace. And after this life which, for the best part of it after all, we have spent in restlessness, take us into the Kingdom of Your eternal peace and love. Accept also all those who have fallen as victims of wars and conflicts. Accept also those who are looking for peace on wrong paths. We ask this through Christ, the Prince of Peace, and through the intercession of our heavenly Mother, the Queen of Peace. Amen." (Pray with the Heart!, 73)

Our Lady of Medjugorje said on November 25, 2000 (the day after he died, going up Mt. Krizevac) that "your brother Slavko has been born into Heaven and intercedes for you." (link)

An onslaught against priests and religious sisters is happening in India!

We are not totally sure about the accuracy of the following documents, but they were forwarded to us by a priest in India. Upwards of 168 priests, as well as 116 religious sisters, have died from this "new wave" of 'COVID-19' (perhaps it isn't COVID at all...)

Let us pray with St. Teresa of Calcutta, India's missionary, for priests and religious around the world, our front line soldiers:

"Mary, Mother of Jesus, throw your mantle of purity over our priests. Protect them, guide them, and keep them in your heart. Be a Mother to them, especially in times of discouragement and loneliness. Love them and keep them belonging completely to Jesus. Like Jesus, they, too, are your sons, so keep their hearts pure and virginal. Keep their minds filled with Jesus, and put Jesus always on their lips, so that he is the one they offer to sinner and to all they meet. Mary, Mother of Jesus, be their Mother, loving them and bringing them joy. Take special care of sick and dying priests, and the ones most tempted. Remember how they spent their youth and old age, their entire lives serving and giving all to Jesus. Mary, bless them and keep a special place for them in your heart. Give them a piece of your heart, so beautiful and pure and immaculate, so full of love and humility, so that they, too, can grow in the likeness of Christ. Dear Mary, make them humble like you, and holy like Jesus." (link)

"These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you shall have distress: but have confidence, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

St. Joseph, please pray with us for priests and seminarians, and religious brothers and sisters!
